Trivantis Introduces Lectora Inspire™

The latest e-Learning tool from Trivantis Corporation, Lectora Inspire, features screen capture, screen recording, and Flash animation, in addition to Lectora’s wizards, pre-built themes and templates, and an enhanced launchpad and video help agents. The result facilitates development of interactive e- Learning, without coding and in a minimum of time.

Trivantis Corporation has released Lectora Inspire, an authoring tool that includes Lectora®, Camtasia® for Lectora, Snagit® for Lectora, and Flypaper™ for Lectora in a single product. Lectora Inspire enables users to create, record, and capture content in a way intended to provide value, power, and ease-of-use. Inspire is the result of a partnership between Trivantis, TechSmith Corporation, and Flypaper Studio.

Customized builds of Camtasia, Snagit, and Flypaper are available from within Lectora, on the Tools menu. Integrating Camtasia (video capture), Snagit (screen shots), and Flypaper (Flash animation and interactivity) in this way with Lectora’s wizards, pre-built themes and templates, and an enhanced launchpad and video help agents, Lectora Inspire enables users to create engaging, interactive e-Learning courses in a fraction of typical development time. Inspire also supports round-trip editing, which is critical to efficient development and maintenance of content.

Lectora Inspire automatically publishes to SCORM and AICC-compliant learning management systems, HTML, CD, and a variety of mobile devices (see our recent article on Lectora for mobile).

“This is truly the most exciting product release by Trivantis in a decade,” said Ben Contra, Trivantis' executive vice president. “We continually listen to our client feedback and monitor trends in the e-Learning industry, which prompted us to develop Lectora Inspire. Lectora Inspire includes powerful and proven screen capture, screen recording, video recording, and Flash creation products that save both time and money. It includes everything you need in one tool.”

“Trivantis realized that there was a void in the e-Learning market for an authoring tool that was not only easy-to-use, but that also contained everything a developer needs for any aspect of e-Learning development. Lectora Inspire fills this void and brings about a new evolution in authoring tools,” said John Blackmon, Trivantis' senior vice president of authoring products.
