edCetra and Metrix Group: Leveraging Intelligent Content

“It will make content available at the time of need, in a format the user or learner wants it. It will also make the content owner’s work so much easier. For example, the client will be able to make a change to a clinical paper, and that change will be available to learners and sales staff the next day.”

In many enterprises, especially those in fields where the competition is fierce, reducing time-to-knowledge is a competitive differentiator. Time-to-knowledge is also an important consideration for many government organizations. If the owner of critical content can update information directly and give that information to employees immediately, the benefits are tremendous.

One key to reducing time-to-knowledge is getting learning and development content into a realm where users can access it in real time. Using cloud technology (rather than server technology) facilitates this movement of content. Getting information to people that they need in order to do their jobs, when they need it, and providing different content about a given topic to different employees, are the concepts behind intelligent content.

Metrix Group Inc. and edCetra Training Inc. have formed a strategic partnership to provide exactly these capabilities. This partnership will provide clients of both organizations with a more comprehensive range of services and products.

Metrix Group brings 23 years of consulting and performance-driven learning solutions across financial, biomedical, and government sectors. Metrix Group has deep expertise in product and disease knowledge, selling skills, and coaching. Susan Caldwell, CEO Metrix Group, says, “Every one of our clients has lots of content that changes very quickly, and they all have a need to update that content in a timely way without having to come back to Metrix.”

edCetra Training is an industry leader in technology-enhanced solutions, with a strong focus on mobile and Learning-on-Demand technology, in addition to more traditional e-Learning solutions. Reuben Tozman, Chief Learning Officer and co-founder of edCetra Training, says, “We offer the intelligent content technology, including cloud-based services, that allows content owners to update information quickly, cheaply, and without delay, and to get each user exactly what he or she needs in the right format for the job. This supports not only Learning-on-Demand, but also performance-on-demand.

Caldwell continues, “This partnership will allow us to provide our global customers with technology solutions that make Learning-on-Demand a reality that has been too expensive and too complicated for Training and Development Departments to embark upon. It will make content available at the time of need, in a format the user or learner wants it. It will also make the content owner’s work so much easier. For example, the client will be able to make a change to a clinical paper, and that change will be available to learners and sales staff the next day.”

“Partnering with Metrix Group gives edCetra Training depth in experience across industries, and the opportunity to showcase proven technologies in these markets. Ultimately, we will be able to offer our clients technology-enhanced learning solutions of the highest quality to ensure people get what they need to perform. Metrix Group has always focused on performance, which is an excellent match for our organization,” adds Tozman.

This strategic partnership began in January 2011, and enables both organizations to provide technology-enhanced learning solutions that will drive results to clients who are faced with a rapidly changing, demanding environment.
