edCetra Training Launches Anan™, Cloud-Based Publishing Tool

“Having a system like Anan™, where employees can search a content cloud made up of the smallest content components through their mobile devices and rapidly publish a content package formatted for their device, will be the status quo in the future.” [Press Release]

In the world outside learning and development, large organizations have been investing their dollars into corralling Big Data coming from business intelligence, Web analytic software, and social networks, to compete and always be ahead of their competitors. Using “real time data” and delivering that data into understandable content formats helps their resources make better decisions and provide better customer support in the moment of need. Given the speed at which information grows and the rate at which it changes, anything other than real time data can be deadly in the fiercely competitive world in which organizations operate.

Building on the trend of providing real-time data and information in the moment of need, edCetra Training Inc, a Toronto-based learning services company, has developed a product that delivers true rapid publishing capabilities. Anan is a cloud-based rapid publishing tool that leverages legacy content otherwise trapped in Microsoft Word®, PowerPoint®, images, videos, Flashm or PDF formats to allow users to recompile and republish these elements in mobile, PDF, or eLearning formats. The real power is Anan’s ability to identify individual slides, paragraphs, tables, or images within Microsoft Office documents, combined with its tools for tagging images, videos, Flash, or PDF files, and to allow users to pull these components one at a time or in combination with each other into a format of their choice.

Reuben Tozman, CLO and founder of edCetra Training says “The training and development world has woken up to the need to provide better tools and technology to its resources to help them in the moment of need. We’re finally sensing that the LMS, big or small, is such a small piece of corporate learning that we need to find better paradigms of support for employees. Having a system like Anan, where employees can search a content cloud made up of the smallest content components through their mobile devices and rapidly publish a content package formatted for their device, will be the status quo in the future. To date, Anan is first to market, and we’re proud to be paving the way!”

Other features of Anan include a “quick capture” tool for user-generated content, sharing content packages on social networks, plugging into public or private social networks, and for scanning back-channel chatter through search terms. Anan has an open API to allow other tools to publish directly into Anan, and edCetra Training has a number of Non-Disclosure Agreements in place with other vendors to allow Anan to publish directly into their systems.

Full details of channel partners and resellers will be available. edCetra Training is looking for additional resellers throughout North America and overseas. For additional information, please contact edCetra Training at sales@edcetratraining.com.
