eMail:

Dan McNeill is an instructional designer at Allstate Insurance Co. located just outside of Chicago in Northbrook, Illinois. As a member of the HR Education team at Allstate, Dan helps to design, develop and deliver training to all of Allstate’s employees and agents.

At Allstate, beyond being the lead designer in the creation of the APCC, Dan has had the opportunity to serve on various teams which researched and explored interesting trends in e-Learning, such as simulations and knowledge objects.

Before coming to Allstate, Dan worked at the Thomson Corporation, where he was an online instructional designer. During his time at Thomson, Dan had the opportunity to serve on a team charged with finding and purchasing an enterprise-wide LMS for the corporation. Prior to Thomson, Dan worked at United Airlines, as an instructional designer and project manager within the airline’s e-Learning group.

Dan received an MA degree in Human Resource Development in 1997 from Northeastern Illinois University. Dan lives in Huntley, Illinois and continues to shake his fist at pseudo-engaging courseware while continually exploring ways to beat his son at any game on his X-Box system.
