Anne-Marie Murphy graduated in 1995 from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Professional Writing emphasis). After a stint volunteering for Grand Canyon National Park, the USDA’s National Finance Center (NFC) hired her as a customer service analyst. While working on a succession of computer-based training courses, she developed an interest in creating online learning and productivity solutions, and wrote her first Web content shortly thereafter. Four years and several Web sites later, she now serves as a Web designer and developer in NFC’s application programming division specializing in user support, interface design, and process automation. In her spare time, Anne-Marie pursues interests in general Web site design and Human Factors Engineering, and, in less technical moments, enjoys a journey to Middle-Earth or the nearest ski slope.
