Joe Fournier has been involved in e-learning since the early 1990’s, and in learning design and development since the mid 1980’s. Joe is passionate about helping people develop competency in creating more interesting, interactive designs and learning to use the tools that make this possible. He is a frequent speaker at learning industry events.

Joe is currently President of Rapid e-Learning, LLC, a small firm focused on helping others successfully design and build good quality, affordable e-learning. Joe has served in leadership roles in top learning organizations including Aetna, IBM, FedEx, the University of Arkansas and others. He is author of several books and hundreds of hours of courses, including e-learning, virtual classroom, and face-to-face training. He has strong expertise in Articulate Studio, Adobe Captivate, and several other e-learning tools.

Joe resides in Western North Carolina, but has worked virtually since 2003 and considers himself time zone independent.

A new crop of tools claims to make anyone an e-Learning content producer. One such tool, from Seattle-based Impresys, is DemoMate. As its name suggests, its main mission is to support interactive software demonstrations. DemoMate started as a software sales tool, but it is now finding uses in production of training applications.
