Kaplan IT Learning to demo Version 2.0 of Atlantic Link rapid e-Learning authoring software at DevLearn|10

Version 2.0 of the Atlantic Link authoring software includes a new embedded video editor, support for more video file formats, easier slide editing, and an image editor with full drawing and editing capabilities.

Kaplan IT Learning, a leading provider of technology solutions that enable organizations to rapidly develop and deploy high quality e-Learning, will demonstrate its new Version 2.0 of the Atlantic Link Content Point, Capture Point, and Knowledge Point products at DevLearn 2010 Conference and Expo, November 3-4 in San Francisco.

The new product release, Atlantic Link 2.0, includes a range of new features and functionalities that deliver powerful media-suite editing capabilities without the need to use any third-party editing software.

A new embedded video editor within Atlantic Link 2.0 Content Point allows users to edit videos, including the ability to crop clips, change video and audio playback quality (and file size), change frame size, overdub audio, and more. Editing slides is now easier with zoom-option features and the ability to select multiple elements to edit at the same time. In addition, an extensive variety of video formats are supported, including the popular .WMV format.

Mike Alcock, V.P. and Product Evangelist at Kaplan IT Learning, says, “With Atlantic Link 2.0 there is no need for organizations to purchase multiple products or vendor solutions that have bundled-in, third-party software. This makes it easy for developers to create engaging and creative e-Learning content since they are not required to learn various vendor tools and product interfaces. Atlantic Link 2.0 is the most complete e-Learning development solution because it includes collaborative, server-based authoring and review, screen capture, integrated sound studio, an embedded video editing suite, integrated image editing, and integrated LMS capabilities, all in one tool.”

A full-featured image editor is now included within the Atlantic Link 2.0 Capture Point product that provides e-Learning authors with both drawing and editing capabilities. Images can be edited “on the fly” within Capture Point, rather than having to be exported to third-party applications such as Microsoft Paint or Adobe Photoshop. This is especially useful for masking sensitive data, thus complying with requirements of the Data Protection Act.

Atlantic Link products have been recognized in the learning industry with more than 20 awards, recently winning “Best in Class Technologies” gold awards for “Best Rapid E-Learning Tool” and “Best Authoring Tool for the LearnX 2010 Awards.
